Moving Omaha into the Digital Age

Headsetters, 7758 Cass Street, Omaha, Neb., jumped into the digital transition early, benefitting both the company and its customers.

Originally called Telemarket Resources International, Headsetters was founded in 1992 as an equipment supplier to Omaha telemarketing companies.

Nevertheless, as time went on the company progressed.

Headsetters is currently a national company that services businesses like Sitel, Marriott International, Medco, Jet Blue Airlines, Werner Enterprises, Ticketmaster, Union Pacific and Time Warner by selling, buying, repairing and renting out telecommunications equipment.

"The biggest advantage that we have is years of experience," said Headsetters representative, Marvin Holst. "And we're right in the middle of the country, so shipping time is reduced."

Famous for selling headsets, Headsetters also markets USB recorders, blue tooth headsets, amplifiers, disposable headset covers (protecting users from E. Coli, germs and bacteria), cellular phone equipment and conferencing units.

All of these accessories are available with a click of a mouse at www.headsetters.com.

Brands like Plantronics, GN Netcom, VX1 and Starkey are advertised as both retail and resale products.

Companies can also sell their used or out-of-warranty equipment to Headsetters for cash.

"We ask that they (the companies) send them in so that we can reevaluate them," said Holst.

Holst said that some headsets are worth more than others, so the reevaluation process lets the companies that sell their headsets to Headsetters get their money's worth.

Headsetters also supplies audio, wireless and IP conferencing units for corporate meetings.

"Once we're familiar with a company, we know what kind of phone system or IT system they have," said Holst.

Holst said this makes it both easier and more expediant to serve customers.

Companies in need of equipment repair can also contact Headsetters for their needs.

Headsetters offers both parts and labors and a 90-day warranty for all of the equipment that they fix.

If that isn't enough, repairs are completed in three days.

"A lot of our competitors don't do repairs," said Holst. "New technology doesn't let us get into [some of] these headsets anymore, so it's a diminishing business."

For busy days of the season or unexpected meetings, Headsetters allows businesses to rent their headsets.

Rentals are month-to-month and priced $22.50 per headset for the first month, $19.50 per headset for the second month and $15 per headset for the additional months needed.

Headsetters is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

"We have a display room in our office," said Holst. "We also have headsets that the customers can try-out."
