Specialized Comfort, Fit to Help You Walk Better

Comfort Plus Shoe Center was opened in 1988 from the owners in Kansas City. In 1993 Debbie Mannino the owner of Comfort Plus Shoe Center, moved from Kansas City to Omaha and purchased the store in 1995 from the original owners. Ms. Mannino has been in this line of service for 32 years.

Comfort Plus Shoe Center evaluates your feet to help you select a style of shoe that provides you the support and comfort you need. "We specialize in hard to fit sizes and widths," said Mannino.

"At Comfort Plus Shoe Center, we fit the shape of the shoe to the shape of the feet," she said. "We take pride in helping to improve the quality of living for all walks of life. We have over 25 brands of footwear to combine your personal idea of fashion, functionality, and comfort."

The employees are professionally trained to fit shoes. Their knowledge of the manufacturing and technology of the different brands help you make an informed decision for shoes that fit your lifestyle.

"We are certified Pedorthists working with doctors," said Mannino. "We fill doctor's prescriptions and manufacture custom molded orthotics to fit the patient's feet. We also have over the counter, ready-made inserts. We find shoes that will accommodate orthotics if they have their own."

Pedorthics is the design, manufacture, modification and fit of footwear, orthotics and devices to alleviate foot problems caused by disease, overuse or injury. The C. Ped. has fulfilled and maintains specific educational requirements to be certified by The American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics (ABC).

The board-certified pedorthist works with the doctor and patient to achieve the best results.
