Celebrate Valentine's Day with Cabaret Star Lucie Arnaz

Omaha Performing Arts presents An Evening with Lucie Arnaz at the 1200 Club in the Holland Performing Arts Center's Scott Recital Hall on Sunday, February 14, at 7:00 p.m.

Widely known for her roles on The Lucy Show, Here's Lucy, The Lucie Arnaz Show and Sons and Daughters, Lucie Arnaz has been delighting television, film and live theatre audiences for more than 40 years. Now, this Valentine's Day, the beloved daughter of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, will present a special evening filled with smoky selections of Broadway, pop and Latin tunes that will be a sure-fire hit with that special someone.

On the big screen, Lucie has starred opposite Neil Diamond and Sir Laurence Olivier in The Jazz Singer and most recently co-starred with Richard Roundtree, Robert Loggia and Bob Forster in Wild Seven. On stage, Arnaz got her equity card playing many of the best women's roles in the theatre, Sally Bowles in Cabaret, Daisy Mae in Li'l Abner, Princess Winifred, in Once Upon A Mattress and Alex in The Witches of Eastwick. With Stockard Channing and Sandy Duncan, Arnaz reated the role of Kathy in the west coast premiere of Vanities at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles. But Broadway beckoned, and in 1978 she snagged the coveted role of the wacky Sonia Wolsk in the Neil Simon/Marvin Hamlisch/Carole Bayer Sager musical They're Playing Our Song, directed by Robert Morre. It ws for this role, that she received The Los Angeles Drama Critic's Circle, Theatre World and Outer Critic's Circle Awards.
